Journey to Joy ~ Just Ask

His Precious Name ~ Jesus

His Precious Name ~ Jesus

“Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”   (John 16:24)

What greater Joy can we have than to know Christ in us, and know that His will for us is fulfilled?   Yet we struggle, when all we need to do ~ is Ask. Look to Him and Ask!

And yet, we fail to remember the purpose of asking is not for our material needs, our temporal desires. For scripture tells us that God already knows. “Therefore do not be anxious, saying, “what shall we eat?” or “What shall we drink” or “What shall we wear?” For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” (Mathew 6:31-33)

“Seek first the “Kingdom of God and His Righteousness.”
Is this not what is most precious?
“All these things will be added to you.”

So we pray as Jesus instructed for “His Will” ~ knowing that our oneness in Him, is the fullness of His Joy in us, which is our Joy! Oh Beloved, do you not know that Jesus’ Prayer to the Father was “But now I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves.” (John 17:13)

“This, then, is how you should pray:

“Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be your name,
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day, our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.”
(Mathew 6:9-13)

In the sweet, most precious name of Jesus ~ Amen

  1. A great reminder to seek Him first. The best thing is He never changes, no matter what our circumstances are. His presence and the hope of glory are constant, so that we can still have joy!
