Hearts on Fire through ACTS of Prayer

Hearts on Fire through ACTS of Prayer

After the Exodus I was so hungry, so thirsty, and all I  wanted was  to KNOW Him ~ not just know about Him.

ACTS of Prayer ~

Adoration – Praise
Confession
Thanksgiving
Supplication

Pray like Jesus ~

“Pray then like this:
Our Father in heaven
Hallowed be your name
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our debts.
As we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil. (Mathew 6: 9-13) ~Jesus

I was at His feet, He resided within but….he kept showing me His Vessels.

I saw more clearly than ever, that the first great and primary business to which I ought to attend every day was, to have my soul happy in the Lord. The first thing to be concerned about was not, how I might serve the Lord, how I might glorify the Lord; but how I might get my soul into a happy state, and how my inner man may be nourished…. I saw that the most important thing I had to do was to give myself to the reading of the Word of God and to mediation of it. ~ George Mueller of Bristol.

Prayer is a shield to the soul, a sacrifice to God, and a scourge for Satan. ~ John Bunyan

Prayer is an effort of will. ~Oswald Chambers

Our prayer and God’s mercy are like two buckets in a well; while one ascends, the other descends. ~ Arthur Hopkins

If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our bodies. If they will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees. Let no one go there unwarned and unprayed for. ~ Charles H. Spurgeon

It is because of the hasty and superficial conversation with God that the sense of sin is so weak and that no motives have power to help you to hate and flee from sin as you should. ~ A.W. Tozer

Prayer is not monologue, but dialogue. God’s voice in response to mine is its most essential part. ~ Andrew Murray

Don’t pray when you feel like it. Have an appointment with the Lord and keep it. A man is powerful on his knees. ~ Corrie Ten Boom

Prayer – secret, fervent, believing prayer – lies at the root of all personal godliness. ~ Williams Carey

“Satan dreads nothing but prayer. His one concern is to keep the saints from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work, and prayerless religion. He laughs at our toil, he mocks our wisdom, but he trembles when we pray.” ~ Samuel Chadwick

The prayer that prevails is not the work of lips and fingertips. It is the cry of a broken heart and the travail of a stricken soul.” ~ Samuel Chadwick

The amount of time we spend with Jesus – meditating on His Word and His majesty, seeking His face – establishes our fruitfulness in the kingdom. ~ Charles Stanley

I’m convinced that the man who has learned to meditate upon the Lord will be able to run on his feet and walk in his spirit. Although he may be hurried by his vocation, that’s not the issue. The issue is how fast his spirit is going. To slow it down takes a period of time. ~ Charles Stanley
The essence of meditation is a period of time set aside to contemplate the Lord, listen to Him, and allow Him to permeate our spirits. ~ Charles Stanley

In prayer it is better to have a heart without words than words without a heart. ~ John Bunyan

Work as if you were to live a hundred years. Pray as if you were to die tomorrow. ~ Benjamin Franklin
