Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.” (John 8:58)

In this one short verse Jesus is revealing three significant facts.

• What He is about to say is very important – as emphasized in truly, truly.
Not just important, but “listen up” important – without a question or doubt.

• Jesus was in existence before Abraham.

• Jesus is God – I AM

 

I absolutely love God’s Word and the Book of John has always been abundant in revealing priceless pearls of truth. It is no wonder that John was called the “beloved”. Grab your bible and mediate on the twenty five amazing reasons Jesus has called us to “listen up”. Become beloved in His Word and in His words.

Truly, Truly, I say to you…

John 1:51
And he said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”

John 3:3
Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

John 3:5
Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

John 3:11
Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony.

John 5:19
