When Love Does Not Lie

Brushstrokes of Love

Brushstrokes of Love

In the pursuit of happiness love is forgotten;
Or perhaps it never was remembered, nor truly known.
I said; “I love” ~
Was it a lie; an untruth, or simply a word I did not know?

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.” (1 John 4:7-8)

And this Love is painted with the brushstrokes of God’s words ~

“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is no arrogant or rude.
It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
(1 Corinthians 4 – 7)

So paint by number, your life in actions, with the words of love ~
Patient
Kind
Humble
Selfless
and rejoice with Truth ~

as the brushstrokes of lies and dying colors run ~
Envy
Boastful
Arrogant
Rude
Selfish
Irritable
Resentful
Rejoices with Wrongdoing

My Christmas Prayer :

“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith – that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:14 – 19) ~ Amen :Y
