More than Morsels

Our Daily Bread

Our Daily Bread

So who do you say that I Am ?  Jesus wants to know.

“He said to them, “but who do you say that I am”? (Mathew 16:15)

“Then he said to them, “But who do you say that I am ? (Luke 9:20)

“And he asked them, “But who do you say that I am ?(Mark 8:29)

The Gospel of the beloved John contains seven statements providing us with a clear picture of Jesus. And it is without randomness or accident that John shares with us seven separate morsels. And in that perfect number God points us to His completed work and His rest. (Genesis 2:2)

These “I Am” sayings are provided for our deliverance and God reveals Himself to Moses  as “I AM WHO I AM”  (Exodus 3:13-15)

Did you find him in the morsel…. you may need to pause here just to take a breath…….

Our Lord reveals to us – through Himself – who He is.

And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me shall never hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst” (John 6:35).

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” (John 8:12).

“I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture” (John 10:9).

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep” (John 10:11).

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he may die, he shall live” (John 11:25).

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser” (John 15:1).

It is with ease that we are carried away with a single morsel as we are blessed with more and more and more…..

“And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discerning so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.   (Philippians 1:9-11)

~ Amen :Y

  1. Love this! Once I was asking God about “why a loving God would send people to hell.” A question I have heard many people ask. But, It came down to this exact question. The Lord asked me, Denine Who do you think I Am? So I listed all of His attributes and came to this conclusion. If I believe Him to be who the bible says He is then I need to trust Him. For I know that He is Just.
