There is life in this word when you follow its power source. Believe – Jesus.
I just love God’s word and when its truth comes alive it will leave you breathless.
A little over a year ago I conducted a complete study survey in the Book of John. It didn’t take long to realize that John would become one of my most beloved and endearing books in the bible. I quickly realized that I could devote a lifetime in the study of this truth shared by John alone. This beloved disciple inspires as he shares his testimony about Jesus. He draws the life of Jesus in full circle. (John 21:11).
I would love to share what I discovered in the story of this Pi but sometimes a person just needs to touch the wounds to believe (John 20:27). Devote your time in the words of John as he travels from Genesis to Revelation. (John1:1; John 20:25; Revelation 22:21) Believe and be loved as you soak this truth right into your bones.
“What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which he revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him. (John 2:11)
What significance is there in the meaning of the word Cana?
Did you find a Moses parallel?
What did that first sign mean?
How does Jesus reveal his glory in Cana?
What caused the disciples to believe?
What unique picture does this first miracle paint?
Do you believe?
“Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” (John 20:29)
Have you seen the truth about Jesus?
“Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book. But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing, you may have life in his name.” (John 20:30-31)
What other signs have you seen?
Believe – find life in the name and person of Jesus.
Heavenly Father, your word leaves me breathless and thirsty for more. My cup simply overflows with your mercy and your grace as my thankfulness bubbles over from this overflowing cup. Thank you for the gift of Cana and the miracle of your word in Jesus. I am a grateful daughter. ~Amen: Y
